 What does your dog think? Are they free to think as we do? Have you ever wondered what goes on behind those little dog eyes looking at you? Anybody with a companion dog will tell you how tuned in they are. Though their forefathers were free spirits, they gave up that freedom to be with us. They have gone a long way down that road, and now depend on us for virtually everything.
A far cry from running free in every corner of the earth. Even with that, the domestic dog still carries the free spirit of the wolf within him.
Their innocence confounds us. Their childlike antics amuse and sometimes annoy us. Their unshakable loyalty challenges us.
Having made the choice to no longer be free, dogs form very close bonds with their human keepers..
They have a rich inner world that manifests itself in games and all sorts of mischief. Their roots can be seen if they are free to play naturally.
Ive had dogs around me since childhood. I have grieved over some of them as I would a child or friend. This connection speaks for itself. Many of you will know what I mean. Dogs have been called mans best friend. A title they have earned down through the years. A dog loves without question, there is no agenda. If only we could be so free in ourselves.
