A disappointing game as much for the unsportsman like behaviour of a few as the end result. It was a similar story to the previous match between these two sides. The first half was closely contested with chances for both sides, G.Macleod on hand to save well, with a few misses at the other end. There were periods of excellent play by PDG interspersed with pressure from Hilton with the centre forward from Hilton persistantly fouling yet receiving only a booking after numerous offences for a retaliatory kick at B.Macleod. The defence appeared to be coping well in the first half until a run into the box was not picked up and Hilton took the lead with an easy tap in. At half time Hilton led 1-0.
In the second half there was more of the same. Unsportsman like behaviour from the Hilton sidelines further dragged the game into disrepute when a PDG player was tripped as he was taking a free kick. Hilton extended their lead, exploiting gaps in the Choppers defence as PDG pushed forward to try and equalise and had a couple of questionably offside goals allowed. Ansell and Cameron came on for Brown and B.Macleod respectively and Paul Ansell scored another contender for goal of the season with a few minutes remaining, striking the ball from 30 yards out over the keeper.
