The penultimate game of the season did not make for a pleasant evening. From the start it was evident that NHS were a different team to the one that lost the previous week. A keenly contested first half saw PDG's Jamie Mackenzie pop up to curl the ball into the top corner from 20 yards to open the scoring. PDG failed to capitalise on this missing a few chances and allowing NHS back into the game as they scored before half time to level at 1-1.
After the break PDG appeared to go to sleep, gifting NHS chances and then a goal with a poorly defended throw in allowing NHS in behind the defence. Hard work from Choppers gave them a lifeline with a sprint and finish from Brian Cooke levelling but the reply from NHS was quick and effective and two more goals followed unanswered. The contrast between the first and second half was massive.
