The stifling heat made the game difficult and after losing two goals inside the first 15 minutes it was not made any easier. After those early errors where Ace City attacked from midfield, the PDG Choppers defence began to get to grips with the opposition attack and although thinly spread were dealing with the threat. It did mean hard work for the whole team but the first half produced few chances of note. Gardner and Cooke worked hard chasing the game from the front but what little possession we had was squandered away too easily. At half time we were still trailing by 2.
Shortly after half time Gardner and Cameron made way for Morrison and Rigg respectively and Rigg played well setting up some chances. Much of the second half was played in the Ace city half, in the same way the first half had been played mostly in PDG's. A high work rate from both centre midfielders was paying dividends in terms of possession but still PDG were still lacking a clinical edge. Cooper replaced R.Macleod and for a while it seemed like a PDG Choppers goal was inevitable but in the final minute Ace city stretched their lead when a goal mouth scramble got caught underneath the feet of B.Macleod and fell to a striker who scored from close range.
