This game saw PDG Choppers able to field a virtually unchanged side for the first time this season. The match opened with PDG Choppers playing into a stiff breeze which made life tricky for the defence forcing them to sit deep through much of the first half. It took a while for the men in burgundy to settle and much of the early pressure was from Portland. The defence coped admirably allowing the midfield to get a hold of the ball and make in roads into the opposition half. A few chances went awry and minutes before half time the Choppers defensive line was caught out and played a breakaway striker on side who then rounded Macleod to score the opener.
After half time the roles were almost reversed with Portland having to deal with pressure from PDG Choppers. The real problem was very little was offered in the final third of the pitch. Possession was given away cheaply and link up play was virtually absent, especially when compared to the previous performance. Rigg replaced Cameron, J.Morrison came on for Brown and latterly Cooper replaced Cooke but chances were few and far between. R.Macleod had a couple of chances but failed to find the net. The killer blow happened 3 minutes from time when a Portland attacker dribbled into the box and after B.Macleod and S.Morrison both taking part of the player, Gallacher's challenge was judged a foul by the referee. It appeared the softest of the three challenges but the penalty was dispatched and yellow cards for protest were collected by Gallacher and B.Macleod.
