Other World Firefly 2021

Welcome once more from Babz and Gruffy The Gnome with John, the Clovelly Elf, otherwise known as Mr Chairman, to this, the ninth North Devon Firefly event at and for Clovelly Parish Hall in North Devon on Saturday 10th July 2021 from 12 Noon to Midnight.

This year we are pleased to welcome World Music and Dance acts, that will take us to 'other worlds' as well as otherworldly acts such as Pixiephonic, Fae of the Flute and Davey Dodds, who have entertained us before, and will do so again this July.

At the Fayre, during the day from 12 noon to 5pm, there will be numerous stalls and workshops, both inside and outside the hall, and all kinds of musical and other entertainment. Teas, coffees, and vegetarian rolls, sandwiches and cakes will be sold from the kitchen, and the bar is open from 2pm.

At the Ball, from 6pm to Midnight, there will be several original musical acts, suitable for DANCING, together with bellydancing and fire dancing. A vegetarian feast will be available, very reasonably priced at £3 main, £2 dessert, free for entertainers and workshop hosts only, and the bar remains open until Midnight or later.

There is also camping and campervanning on site with showers and toilets in the hall itself, and a firepit in the field. A goodly crowd of musicians is likely to be present, especially as camping is free for entertainers.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON SITE, EXCEPT ASSISTANCE DOGS OF COURSE. NO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS ARE TO BE TAKEN INTO THE HALL, AS THE BAR IS OPEN ALL DAY FROM 2PM ONWARDS AND NO SMOKING IN THE HALL. FINALLY IT WOULD HELP IMMENSELY IF EVERYONE INVOLVED, WHETHER STALLHOLDERS, ENTERTAINERS OR WORKSHOP HOSTS, COULD HELP TO PROMOTE THE EVENT MORE BY TELLING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY ABOUT IT, BOTH IN PERSON AND ONLINE. BABZ AND GRUFFY DO A HUGE AMOUNT THROUGH THE YEAR PUBLICIZING FIREFLY EVENTS ONLINE, THROUGH NEWSPAPERS, ON RADIO, AND WITH POSTERS AND FLYERS, BUT WE ALSO NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PLEASE.
