Age Uk and E-on are being investigated by Ofgem and the Charities Commission over an alleged £6m scam on energy tariffs. It is claimed that Age UK were promoting a tariff as the best available when in fact it was costing about £245 per annum more than E-On’s cheapest rate at the time. Concern about deals between Age UK and E-On were first raised in 2010. Age Uk claim the figures have been misinterpreted. E-On claimed that the tariff was the cheapest of its type in the UK when it was launched in January. For further details click on the link below
