Nottingham Forest beat east midlands rivals Derby county today at the city ground. Forest were 3-0 up at half time but looked shaky in the second half. The game became very tense towards then end with lots of stoppage time, derby looked as if they would equalise, but forest hung on, and got there first league win of the season. Forest also took the Brian Clough trophy, which is contested each time the 2 teams meet.

Its the first time forest have won the tropy, and is a bost to Nottingham, and a great tribute to the man who lead forest to 2 european cups.

However, as to be expected, there were ugly scenes after the match, in which forest striker, Nathan Tyson, waved a corner flag, bearing the forest logo in front of the Derby fans. Derby players confronted him and then there was a stand off, even coaching staff had a tussel at each other! The FA say they will review the matter with "Urgency"
