 Welcome to our Website

  The NORTH MERCIA GROUP was formed in March 2010 &  is the newest Group in the Richard III Society.  Our members come from all four corners of  the North Mercia region  - Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire & the borders of North Wales. If you are interested in any aspect of late 15C history, particularly that concerning  the reign of Richard III then come & join us  - you will be most welcome - we are very friendly!

 At present our meetings are held at  members' homes in South Cheshire on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 2 pm, except for January when we do not meet. 

 Members interests within our historical period are wide & our knowledge is varied, some of us are historians, some of us are not, but all of us have a desire to share & learn more about an important & fascinatng period in  England's history.   

 Our programme so far has included a book discussion, talks by members, talk by an outside speaker, a 'bring your own' Medieval supper, visits to sites of interest in the area & of course, meals whenever appropriate!!!

We ask for an annual  membership fee of £5 to cover the costs of any outside speaker
