Denztown Bulletin Board
Welcome to the Denztown Bulletin Board. This youthful site is a discussion and "moaning" forum for Denzlingen's community issues. This version is filtered through an automatic translation system so don't worry if the text is a little strange - you'll make sense of what's being said!
Konstancin-Jeziorna (Denzlingen's Polish twin town)
Denzlingen has also twinned with this Polish town. Situated around 20Km from the capital of Poland, Warsaw, it's a Spa town with walking and cycling routes in the area. The official twinning ceremonies were held in Poland on Sunday, 19th June, 2011. A delegation from North Hykeham were in attendance - see video links below for more on this attractive community. The second signing of the twinning charter was in Denzlingen during the "Kultur Woche in October of that year.
Newark Town Twinning Association
Our friends down the road in Newark are twinned with three communities on the Continent. Emmendingen, of course is a near-neighbour of our own twin town of Denzlingen and the seat of the "Landkreis" administration which covers Denzlingen for certain local government functions. They are also twinned with St. Cyr Sur Loire, not too far from the area of France where many Lincolnshire communities have their twinnings, and finally with Sandomierz in South-East Poland. Sandomierz is about 130 miles from Konstancin-Jeziorna, Denzlingen's latest twin town.
The Denzlingen Town Council Websitevideo
The website is in German of course and has recently been re-designed. If you have a hobby or interest, there's sure to be a club in Denzlingen that's relevant to you.
The Black Forest is a large region stretching from Bodensee in the South up to Stuttgart in the North. Here are just a few of it's attractions
For the more adventurous, Europa Park, one of Europe's biggest theme parks is just 30 minutes up the autobahn from Denzlingen. Apart from the usual white-knuckle rides, there are other attractions too. Many German, French and other countries' TV concerts are recorded there.
PS It's much cheaper than Alton Towers!!
