Welcome to North Deighton

The website for North Deighton is maintained by North Deighton Parish Council.

North Deighton is a village in a conservation area a mile north of Kirk Deighton and is near the top of rolling hills, which rise up from the River Nidd.  Only 2.5 Miles from Wetherby and the A1/M1 and 4 miles from Knaresborough, 6 miles from Harrogate.

The village is set around The Green, which is at the junction of the road from Spofforth and the B164 Knaresborough to Wetherby.  This is the focal point of the village around which the houses and farm buildings are arranged.

The village is in the Royal Forrest of Knaresborough, a former medievil hunting park.

The character of the village is rural, once accommodating 7 working farms.  Currently Howe Hill Farm, West Gate Farm and Manor Farm still operate.

North Deighton has 7 buildings on the Statutory List of Buildings of special Architechtural or Historic interest and all of which are grade II listed.
