A tribute to a great man
and the effects he had on others
even to the point of councils
naming roads and streets
after him
This website is focused on the town of Neath in South Wales - a town built by the Romans and with a heritage that the residents are proud of.
The town has a Labour controlled council (Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council) which has a total of 64 councillors, including 16 Plaid Cymru members and 8 others. The council are considering naming the Neath South access road after Nelson Mandela.
As much as the residents of Neath respect Nelson Mandela and what he stood for, it would appear they would far prefer the road to be named after someone who was born in Neath and brought fame to the town - see Neath's Hall of Fame in menu.
