Neath hospital League of Friends celebrate their 50th year. I decided to get involved 5 years ago having had major heart surgery.
I was approached by Mr Arthur Bowden chairperson of the League and was asked to take local photos, particularly in snow for them to sell as Christmas cards, as there are no up-to-date photographs with Neath and district in snow.
This was to raise monies to fund for new equipment in Neath Port Talbot, Tonna & Cimla hospitals, after my life was saved, this was the least I could do for them.
They sell like hot cakes and many families buy them to forward onto their families who live abroad, and love to be reminded of home.
I was talking to one gentleman in the hospital the other day and he buys them to frame and hang on the wall.
It’s all for a worthy cause, last year we raised £1.500 for new equipment.
Why not pop down to Neath Port Talbot hospital and have a look for yourself
in the main entrance.
