The result of seven years of detailed and painstaking research came to fruition today (9th June 2018) at Briton Ferry library when NAS member Jonathan Skidmore launched his magnum opus on Neath & Briton Ferry in the First World War.
This is a copioulsly illustrated volume of 386 pages and the Neath Antiquarian Society is delighted to have assisted him with this milestone achievement.
Never before has this amount of detail on the subject been so accuratly collated in this way.
His depth of knowledge and enthusiasm is boundless and the Society applauds him on the result of this herculean task.
Copies of the book (priced at £25) may be obtained at NAS headquarters in the Neath Mechanics' Institute.
This is a handsome addition to the bookshelf of any serious enthusiast or scholar of local history.
