What is a Roman Blind?

It is a window blind made from a lined rectangular fabric panel, weighted by a lath at the bottom, with cords on the reverse side. It is hung from a batten which can be fixed in a window recess or mounted on the wall or architrave above the window.

All our roman blinds are also interlined to improve the drape and hang, provide good insulation and protect the fabric.

The back lining can be made from blackout fabric to block daylight which is strongly recommended for use in bedrooms.
