IN VIEW OF THE CORONOVIRUS EPIDEMIC, MUNLOCHY HALL WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY 21 MARCH UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE FOR ALL USERS.

Munlochy Hall Past & Present

Munlochy Hall has been in community use since the late 1800's. It served as a drill hall for the Territorial Army and the regular army.

In 1970, the Munlochy Community fund-raised and purchased the Hall for local use, at a cost of £2500. Since then the Hall has been the hub of the local community with a variety of local groups and clubs using the Hall, including Badminton, Youth Club, Toddlers and Country Dancing. A full list of the current regular bookings can be seen in the Section "Clubs/Groups".

The Hall is also the venue for many one-off events - Burns Suppers, Birthday Parties, wedding receptions and charity fund-raising occasions, including quiz nights and musical evenings.

The Hall is also the home of Munlochy Pre-School Centre, and the venue for all gym classes and Christmas Show for Munlochy Primary School.

In 2001, the Hall underwent a major refurbishment, following the Hall Committee's successful applications to the Lottery Commission, The Highland Council and Highlands & Highlands Enterprise.

The Hall is situated on Millbank Road, Munlochy.
