Movers and Shakers Dance Group

Bringing dance to women in West Lothian!

Movers and Shakers was set up, initially for belly dancing, and proved to be really popular.  The group moved from a casual arrangement to having a formal committee to enable them to apply for funding and be more organised.  Working together a successful application was made to Awards for All and the group was fortunate enough to receive £2,810 for a 'Do it with Dance' project.  This has enabled workshops of a range of different dance styles to take place.

They have participated in a number of community events, carried out a range fund raisers and given belly dancing demonstrations, which community members take part in.  In the NEWS link down the left hand side there is a link to YouTube where you can see some member of Movers and Shakers and the community having a wee shimmy.
