As all my riding mates know, I am an ex coldharbour resident (my mother still lives there) and local of the village pub, the Plough Inn. I have frequented the pub since December 1982 when I 1st entered as a young 16 year old boy so have seen plenty of changes over the years.
I would just like to wish John and Becky all the best of luck as they are now manageing the business, they are a local couple with a passion for the village, its residents and rural life so really hope they can make a success of the pub which is well overdue and overhaul.
Having been there last night for the 1st time since Rick & Anna left to enjoy a well earned retirement, the changes already made are certainly positive. With new brighter painted walls and at last, new chairs and tables the whole pub felt welcoming and fresh with a positive vibe. Plenty of changes are planned including a village shop and a re working of the layout but for now below is a copy of a village email I have been sent listing some things that will be available right away and I'm pretty sure that extends to giving people water for their cycling (and walking) bottles should they make such a request, anyway, here is the info

Weekend Breakfasts
We will be open for Breakfast every weekend from 8am - 10am, (starting this Sunday), ready to cure some of the those post barn dance hangovers! Enjoy freshly baked croissants, a healthy bowl of porridge, or a full English. Tables can be booked or just turn up.
Cream Teas
Cream teas, delicious cakes and a selection of finger sandwiches are now being served all day, everyday from 11am with coffee from local roastery Coffee Real and Tea Pig teas.
Introducing the Family Roast
Giant Yorkshire pudding filled with a choice of Lamb, Beef, Pork or all three! Served with Gravy, Roast Potato's and Vegetables on the side. Recommended for 4 people. £20
