Dry April

Well what a dry month April has been - van't believe how good the conditions have been with dusty traisl so early in the year. Loads of biking going on with 'Cocks' getting out at every opportunity for weekend and midweek blasts and weekend trips away. A few new faces as well as new trails to add to the already hugh network available here in the Surrey Hills.

The North Downs trails are running so well in the dry conditions (that chalk can be nasty when wet) and those on the Sandstone Ridge are doing ok too.

Last weekend saw a small group of 5 of us riding up in the Lake District with Huw's ever impressive trail knowledge proving very useful. The weather and trails were great and a fab weekend was had by all. The views were wonderful and the riding well worth the visit and the rocky trails made a real change from the conditions we normally face at home - not better or worse just differant - infact in terms of climbing and distance covered the rides were very similar to home, less fun flowy tight twisty singletrack but certianly more rocky descending and climbing, a differant feel and experiance.
