Spent Friday night up on Ranmore doing a Bivy with Charlie, the only other person mad enough to join me. This was proceeded as usual with a couple of pints at a pub which in this instance was the Stepping Stones.

The bivy all went well, nice little fire, plenty of chat and a few swigs from the hip flask. Slept well and managed to pack up and get home before the rain. All in 15 miles were covered which isn't too bad carrying all that gear.

Once home, refreshed and unpacked it wasn't long until the 9.30 Nirvana ride set off. This turned out to be a very decent 32 miles with about 2,500 foot of climbing in very muddy and damp conditions. Just Simon, Dave and myself at the start but we met up with Michelle at Newlands Corner. After a quick cuppa and burger/bacon roll we moved on taking in the delights of Newlands corner down to the golf course, over to Pewley Down, the Chantries and then on to Blackheath (which as I keep telling everyone is so so dry compared with everywhere else around here).

From Blackheath we made our way up onto Winterfold via the Roman Temple at Farley Heath and then eventually over to Peaslake shop for another well earned refrshment stop

Once suitable refreshed and with tired legs we headed for home.
