There were 10 Cocks at Nirvana for the start of this ride, 2 more if we include Simon and his son Morgan who went off a little earlier to do there own thing. So, as we set off there was myself, Antony, Tread, Mike, Kiwi Mike, George, Duncan, Huw, Matt & John. We headed out along Deerleap then up Whitedown to the top of Reformation. As we decended here we passed Simon and Morgan sessioning some of the sections. At the bottom we waited, and then waited some more until Simon and Morgan appeared buit still there was no sign of George, John, Mike or Matt. Eventually we assumed they had decided to do thereown thing so we crossed the road then cycled back up to the top to the start of Abba Zabba. Of the six of us who were left myself, Dunan and Kiwiw Mike rode down Abba Zabba then through to Blind terror where once again we waited and waited some more. This time it was Kiwi Mike who had a puncture and was taking an age to mend it. He had no repair kit and the spare inner he fitted was already punctured. Tread who had waited with him had a spare tube but thats a 29er so didn't fit and Antony who was also there was running tubeless. Eventually after maybe 30 minutes and the use of my spare tube we eventually got going again. We headed along the downs then Huw took us on his cheeky route down to Gomshall. Hear Kiwi Mike headed for home to sort his bike (and pump and tubes) out.We climbed up behind Gomshall and then over to the Ponds Lane which we quickly dispatched. From here we went up into Winterfold and into the forest. Sadly we had already lost so much time we didn't have long to ride the singletrack that I'd set out to. We did however manage to ride 'Elderado' and 'Secret Santa' which were great and enjoyed very much by the 5 of us who were left. Meantime I had a text from Matt saying the 4 we had lost earlier on were at the King William 4th Little London so thats we we headed next but on a converluted route on Farley Green via the Roman Temple. The Bracken was so thick and wet over there our favorite decent in that area was virtually inpassable so we had to guess our way around which seemed to work ok. Eventually we all met up at the pub for a couple of lovely pints and it was a joy to be back after the incident we had there many months ago with the very grumpy landlord. Antony & Tread didn't stop and headed straight for home, George, Mike and John who had been there a while before us left a little earlier leaving myself, Huw, Duncan and Matt. I don't know what Huw was drinking but blimmey he set a fast pace back, good thing him and Duncan aren't on STRAVA is all I can say.
