Sat here at work on a dull lunchtime and started thinking about the amount of injured 'Cocks' at the moment. Bad backs seems to be a recurring theme and at present its keeping both Wendy and Brian off their bikes. Brian for nearly a whole year now, last May was the last time he rode with us and Wendy's back problems have been around a similar length of time. Then there is Paul and his bad knees, that along with a move and work in London means we don't see him anymore. Simon is another Cock who has had knee problems but at least he still manages to come biking with us. Back in December on the way to our Christmas meal Mike the Cyc fell off a stile (yes, I did say a stile) and broke his Tibia & Fibia, he still hasn't been out with us since then. Kiwi Mike is another one who has had back problems but he's out riding again now and then there is Alan Sparks who's mysterious virus has kept him away from mountain biking for a couple of years at least. Along with the injuries we seem to have lost John since he spends most his time in London now and even George has gone awol for a month in Switzerland as 'Hill' decorators go international. And then of course there is Carl who broke his collarbone last summer and hasn't been seen since. Touch wood, I just hope its not my turn next.
