Brief Update

Since OSMM it has to be said that I’ve been feeling very tired; going into the event I had picked up a cold so don’t think it then helped pushing myself hard over that weekend.

I don’t seem to have done much riding since then for a combination of reasons and the few rides I have managed have been hard work. Last Wednesday for example we managed a 23 mile loop out over the North Downs to the Sheeplees area before heading back over the top and up Leith Hill to have a beer or 2 at the Plough Coldharbour.

A couple of gentle evening rides alone and the odd commute to work has been my lot lately. Still, there has been some action, last week for example new rider David took a big off on regurgitator which saw him crack his helmet in too and take a gentle road route back to Westcott.

This past weekend saw some racing action too with Antony coming 6th in the Army 6 hour enduro which even placed him ahead of Kiwi Mike which takes some doing.

In other race news, last night I got around to entering 2 teams in Dusk to Dawn which takes place over the weekend of October 8th /9th. We have one mixed team and one men’s team entered although who rides in which team is yet to be decided, infact we seem to have enough people interested to entre a 3rd team (also mixed) if anyone wants to stump up the £132 entry fee.

Well, that’s it for now, should be out on Wednesday nigh for the regular ride and then again at the weekend. Also, the weekend of 16th / 17th July has been set aside as the cycle to Sussex and back camping trip which works out at about 120 miles of off road over 2 days with plenty of pub stops on the way – so far I think there is Mark, Simon, Wendy and myself planning on going, should be fun.
