So having just spent the 2nd week in May having my 1st experiance of riding in Poland, the last week of the month was spent in the more familier surroundings of the ever wonderful Scottish Highlands.

Myself, Brian and Martyn were the 3 cocks who made the trip north on the the sleeper train which was as fun as ever. The 1st couple of days were alloocated to mainland off road riding with the remainder of the week left to a spell of Island hopping and mainly road riding.

Far to much to talk about on here but we had many and varied experiances with the cycling we did, places we stayed and people we met. We covered 240 miles, much of it either very hard off road or road into a strong head wind.

Travelling light with just a small rucksack each to carry a weeks worth of clothes and equipment, it was hard going but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Lets just say that a trip for next year staying on the mainland and doing more off road and to include a few overnight bothy stops is already being planned - Applecross and Torridon being the main target area for this next adventure.
