Well now I know why we seldom ride on Holmwood Common......... sludge, Mike, George, Toby and myself met up at Dorking Fireplaces on the A24 last night and enjoyed a very fast, very flat and very muddy blast over to the Plough in Leigh for our darts match.

Usually our rides consist of climbs, descents, technical etc etc but last night virtually completely flat but a suprisingly good route was yet again unveiled by our resident trail meister Toby.

So after after getting covered in shit (opposition team looked slightly askance as we trudged into their nice sparkly pub), getting slaughtered at darts, the evening ended well getting shitfaced and then  a nice speedy road blast home............very sobering.

All in the name of training, Four of us now entered for the Trailquest race/not race This Sunday. Out again tonight in the quest for improved fitness (note to self maybe a pub stop should be avoided?)
