Moray Carshare is delighted to announce that its applications for grant funding from Moray LEADER & HiTrans have both been approved. The awards of £137,000 and £15,000 respectively will enable us to tackle our project "Low Carbon Expansion of Car & Bike sharing in Moray". 

The project includes expanding our operations into Elgin and Aberlour using 6 new electric cars and 12 new electric bikes. This is part of a stragey to become completley carbon neutral within the next few years. This is already the case for the 2 electric cars that are currently part of our fleet.

Introducing electric bikes into our operations will provide an incentive for more local people to cycle, and thus improve their health. They also provide a convenient and less expensive alternative to our cars.

The final phase of the project involves the vreation of an online lift-sharing system to facilitate more people across the whoile of Moray in sharing liftsm and thus reducing carbon emmissions.
