With the General Election happening on May 6th there was evidence of the event at this month's market. I did see the Lib Dem candidate part with some money. The coloured free balloons given by the different parties I thought might be something worth considering by the Market Management to entice more shoppers with youngsters in tow.

That apart the weather still wasn't as kind as it could be, however, there was a decent turnout and the sun made a very brief appearance.

We have had a few heavy showers recently, but I didn't  think there had been enough water to sail a boat onto the High Street from the Basin. At least it added a welcome splash of colour to the proceedings! Hopefully, it raised awareness of a very enjoyable pastime held locally during the Spring and Summer months.
