MCHA Project Officer
Minginish Community Hall Association operates for the benefit of Minginish residents and visitors. Early in 2016, we extended our objects to include community projects across Minginish, in addition to running the community hall.
In partnership with Highland Council and Forest Enterprise Scotland, we are committed to making improvements to the parking facilities at Fairy Pools on behalf of our community. To deliver this we are seeking to recruit a Project Officer on a contract basis, initially as a part-time post but with the possibility of extending to full time as further funding becomes available.
The ideal candidate will have good local knowledge of Minginish, and experience of:
- Grant funding
- Publicity and community engagement, especially social media
- Project management
- Preparation of plans and reports
The Project Officer will report to the MCHA board and will be responsible for:
- Securing grant funding
- Managing projects
- Providing progress reports for the MCHA board, funders and project stakeholders
- Developing consultations and plans
- Business development activities and promotion
- Liaison with other stakeholders and support organisations
The Project Officer post will be a contracted-out position for a self-employed person. The initial contract will be for 4 months at 3 days per week, with the possibility of extension as funding permits. You will need to have your own transport and be able to work from home during normal working hours to liaise effectively with other organisations. Occasional travel and some evening availability for meetings will be required. Your own computer, mobile phone and access to the Internet are preferred. The FTE salary for this post will be in the region of 30K p.a., with expenses for non-local travel and consumables.
