One of the great fonts of civilisation, music was an important part of those times, as much as it is today.

We have carefully researched what information that exists and recreated one of  the most famous instruments to play it on.

We have on our team artists, archaeologists, experts in cuneiform, musicians and ethno-musicologists. Our period is very far back from the times of Gilgamesh, Sumer, Babylon and Assyria.. 1,000 - 3,000 BC !

The Dance of the Last Player from Ur Iowa University created their own performance over the Lyre	Diana Conti Diana dances at Covent Garden London
Ballet for Lyre Diana has choreographied her own story of the player from Ur	The Greenwich Early Music Festival Jennifer and Bill Taylor at the Old Naval College Greenwich
Dr Graham Lawson and John Letcher In Berlin we met up with others in the field of Lyres and musical instrument making.	Prof Hovhanness Pilikian and Andy Lowings Hovhanness is a huge authority on the Middle east and is a tireless writer about day to day matters in the world.
Susanna Ruhling from Musica Romana Susanna from Germany played with the Lyre of Ur group in London recently.	Talking at the Library of Congress In March we were invited to Washington DC to perform there and to talk about the project.
