Because memories fade with time, we have constructed this website to refresh minds and to provide educational bodies with a compact means of looking back in time at some memorable events.

In the 1980's, holiday camps, often called holiday villages, were very popular in the summer months.  During the off season months Pontin's, who had 26 sites at that time, held special events which covered hobbies and special interests like ballroom dancing.

Today, in the 2020's, Pontin's only have 6 sites, which give an indication of how things have changed over 40 years.

We start off by going back to1980 when keyboard feastivals first came to the UK at a Pontin's site at Torquay, Devon.
