Mayfield Inn are still top of the League Singles after a good win at home to the Harrow with Ronnie Simpson the star player with a fantastic 12 dart leg which comprised of 135-140-95-131 checkout which is now the best leg so far this season superb stuff from Ronnie.
Mayfield Inn also won all the other events on the night and are still top of the Fours and J.Neilson Pairs Leagues as well.
Easthouses Miners Club A are having a great season as well and continued to keep their winning form together with a good win away to the Ship Inn their only minor blip came in their defeat in the Fours as the home team got a point on the board,Davie Sharp hit a nice 18 dart leg to help his team ensure victory on the night.
The Dean Tavern were at home to the Maysons and this was surely the game of the week as the Maysons who only had seven players played really well and took all three points with Jordan Wood their star man with another 180 and a nice 15 dart leg against Davie Rowley,Stevie Dall also had a good game and is the first player this season to inflict defeat on Greig Glover who had put together a record of 21 win's out of 21 games played.Pete Robb who won the last leg to ensure all three points has only lost one game this season and is also in contention for Player of the Year.
The Maysons earned a point in the Pairs to maintain top spot in this league and also had good wins in the Fours and Neilson Pairs while the home team did manage a win in the Triples.
Grants had to concede home advantage as there was issues with their venue so their game was played at Woodburn Miners Club however this did not hinder the men from Gorebridge as they claimed a very good 5-3 win in the Singles with Paul Campbell hitting a nice 18 dart leg against John Cameron,They also had good wins in the Neilson Pairs and the Fours.
The Woodburn team had some success of their own though and managed wins in the Pairs and Triples and George Graham hit a 180 on the night,Woodburn will be pleased with their win in the Triples as they are very much in contention for this title.
Meanwhile up at Easthouses Miners Club the B team were at home to the Salters and took another heavy defeat as they lost all five events to a team that has certainly improved over the last few weeks.
The E.B.C. were at home to Pathhead and lost the Singles 5-3,and also lost the Neilson Pairs and the Triples however did share a point in the Pairs and won the Fours.
Still awaiting the result from the Coach v M.C.C. so with six games remaining the League Singles is still up for grabs with Three teams still having a realistic chance of glory.
