Welcome to Lorgbaw Croft 

Isle of Islay  

Lorgbaw is a small Farm Assured family croft  situated  at Port Charlotte on the beautiful Hebridean island of Islay.

We run a flock of 70 Blackface ewes as a nucleus for our purebred breeding programme. All ewes and lambs are Signet performance recorded  for Estimated Breeding Values.

We also run a Hebridean flock of 50 ewes which are crossed with a Lleyn tup for succullent and lean carcassed lambs.  These lambs, which thanks to the new Abbatoir, are then slaughtered and butchered on Islay.  The lambs which have proved very popular are uniqely  hung for 3 weeks and are marketed on Islay and the mainland as www.lighhouselamb.com
