LILLY HILL PARK

Lilly Hill House  is now in private ownership. In the 19th century, its owner Henry William Vincent, set about creating an English parkland.  An extensive footpath system allowed guests to wander around the grounds.  A network of paths has now been restored with money from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The official opening was performed in 2005 by Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

The historic carriageway runs from Gate Lodge to Lilly Hill House and links up with the footpath network. The Parkland Furniture has been constructed from timber felled on the site. The area around the Water Garden has been re-instated in Edwardian style.
