Red-breasted Flycatcher-completed 5 July 2010

Red-breasted Flycatcher, done entirely in watercolour. approx 8x10 cm on watercolour paper. 

My Dad found one of these beauties at Seaford Head, my local patch, last autumn. It showed brilliantly quite a lot of the time, and for four hours I stood there, as various other birders came and went, admiring it and soaking up every little detail of this bird. Eight months later and I'm fairly pleased with how it went!
