Launceston Private Tutoring
Welcome to LPT. We offer tutoring up to GCSE standard in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics and English languaage. Our tutors are ladies, CRB checked, experienced in teaching a range of skills who offer a positive, confidence building experience which brings an improvement in grades. Our aim is to offer a positive learning experience, unlocking the potential to improve in all students.
Tuition Options
LPT offer tuition either on a one-to-one basis, very small groups or homework groups. One-to-one is a tutor working with a single student. If there are siblings of friends, in the same class so requiring help with the same subject, then groups of up to three students with a tutor are an option. The third option is a homework group, where up to five students working on any of the subjects where we offer tuition, can form a group with a tutor on hand to help them. Lessons are 1, 1 1/2 or 2 hours in length. We will bring text books, or we can work from yours if you prefer.
Where Do You Teach?
We work in students homes. This is so parents and students can feel confident in their safety. Tutors will travel to homes up to ten miles radius of Launceston.

Payment is by cash at the start of the lesson.
When Are You Available?
Our lessons run on weekday evenings, from 6pm. Weekends are also an option, lessons start at 9am and run through to 6pm. If you book lessons weekly, we will set aside a 'slot' for you, unless cancelled. For occasional lessons, phone to see when we have a free space. Cancellation of a pre-booked lesson must be at least 24 hours before the lesson, otherwise a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
