Barn Draw After Twice Leading
27 November 2011

Ladybarn turned up to this game in good spirit knowing that a win in this game and their remaining game in hand would take them 3rd in the table at the half way point in the season.

The Barn started with a somewhat different formation of 3-5-2 in an attempt to add to the seasons goal tally. The game was played in extremely difficult conditions with strong wind and a poor pitch to blame for a goalless first half.

Just after the hour Ladybarn made the breakway with good work from Donnelly down the right with a telling cross to match that was somewhat bundled over the line by Cloran at the backpost. This should have been the spark that The Barn needed to go on and win the game but soon after Longhey equalised.

Again Ladybarn took the lead when Law latched onto a superb pass from Hart from deep inside his own half and looked settled to see the game out at 2-1. As the minutes ticked by both sides started to look tired and Ladybarm started giving away needless free-kicks one of which was converted as what initially seemed to be a cross got caught in the wind and took its way past a stranded Platt in Barns net.

Overall not the best result but the conditions didn't help our cause.
