There are no age restrictions on who can enter:

All entrants under the age of 18 must obtain the written permission of their parent or guardian to enter the competition (see entry form);

All entries must be in digital format can be in monochrome or colour prints of a maximum size of 15” x 10” and a minimum print size of 8” x 6”. please provide your photograph in JPEG format at 300dpi maximum. A maximum of 3 images per author may be entered. The photographic digital image may, prior to printing, be enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but must not be subject to manipulation, including but not limited to the combining and retouching of images. The exception being the farm buildings at the south west corner of the games field, these cannot be in any photos. You may remove them by manipulating the photos. The judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been excessively treated so as to alter its authenticity;

The Author’s name, address, email address, phone numbers and age if under 18, together with the print title and when and where it was taken and the reference number from your application form must be submitted within the body of an email with your digital image(s) attached. Failure to do this will mean elimination of the image from the competition;

The closing date for entries in the competition is the 4th of August, 2009;

Judging will take place by the 7th of August, 2009. Winners will be notified as soon as possible after the judging by email telephone;

The winner of the under 18’s category competition will receive a prize of £40, with runners up prizes of £20 for second place and £10 for third place;

The winner of the 18’s and over category competition will also receive a prize of £40, with runners up prizes of £20 for second place and £10 for third place;
All six winners will also be awarded a £20 voucher for use at David Webster Photographic Centre;

The judges decision is final and no correspondence on that decision will be entered into;

The winning images will be printed and exhibited for the following 4 weeks, at (to be decided);

The organisers will not be held liable for any prints lost, damaged or delayed in the postal service;

By entering the competition, entrants grant the right for The Kilmore & Kilbride Highland Games Committee to publish and exhibit any photos entered in print, on their website or in any other media as they think fit, free of charge. Entrants will also be deemed to have consented to their photographs being used in future Kilmore & Kilbride Highland Games publications. As the Committee/Games will not gain financially from this, no fee will be payable for this use. Other than the above uses, copyright on all entries will be retained by the author;

Successful entrants may be asked to provide a high quality copy of the original digital file or negative/positive film version of their photograph for use on the internet and for publicity. For digital files, please provide your photograph in JPEG format at 300dpi maximum;

By submitting photograph(s) to this competition each entrant confirms and warrants that: (i) they have created and own the photograph submitted and that it is their own original work; (ii) all copyright, and any other intellectual property rights in the photograph are vested in them; (iii) they have not assigned, licensed or disposed of or otherwise encumbered any of their rights in the photograph; (iv) they have not infringed the intellectual property rights of any third party in respect of the photograph, and will indemnify The Kilmore & Kilbride Highland Games Committee against any claims made against The Kilmore & Kilbride Highland Games Committee by any third parties in respect of such infringement ?????;
