Summer Flood!
05 February 2014

At the end of July 2013, the village hall suffered a massive flood, after heavy rains for 2 solid hours after a long dry spell.  The culvert at the top of hill overflowed with rain water and had filled with stony ground that let the water distribute down onto the road, where it flowed straight for our village hall.  The water filled the whole of the hall and a river established itself at the end ofthe hall making its way down the bank and over the football pitch heading for Loch Innes.  Itr took fire fighters several hours to suck the all the water from the hall.  Unfortunately the water had damaged the large hall flooring which had been a hard wearing sports floor and also the flooring throughout the corridor and toilets.

The hall has been closed since July and is now at last repaired and ready to be opened to the public again. The hall's closure of the last 7 months has meant a lack of revenue for the hall's bank balance.

We really need the help and support to keep the hall's funds healthy to keep it running, as it has sadly been missed for the last two seasons.

If you would like to donate, or simply to book the hall, please contact any of our committee members.

Thank you for your patience.
