U3A   ---   University of the 3rd Age

Retirement can be a new life for many and when a group get together and cater for different needs there is always something that can revitalise your life.

The U3A at Ormskirk cater for almost everthing, including keyboard playing and many are readers of this website.   Doreen Sheard is the inspirational figure behind the keyboard section and has sent us a copy of the colourful U3A magaine in which she remembers taking classes at the Pontin's Home Organ Keyboard Festival at Prestatyn in 1982.

It was the days when home electronic organ were the popular means of home entertainment - now its electronic keyboards, rather more space saving in the home.

If it's keyboards, or anthing else, it important to keep the mind and body active when you retire.   It seems that U3A has the answer and we hope that other groups in the UK will follow their example.
