Nick Swift - Sad Loss

It is with much saddness we report the suddern loss of Nick Swift the much respected Bristol based organ and keyboard dealer - famed for being the biggest dealer in the West Country.
Nick was only 57 and loved being involved with keyboard instruments and organ clubs, often arranging special artistes.

Nick was always also helpful with keyboard festivals in the South West of England and introduced many famous names from the organ-keyboard world.   He celebrated his 50th birthday at the Lyme Bay Keyboard Music Festival with a special presentation that included: Yuri Tachibana (Japan), Tony Fenelon (Austraila) Chris Powell and David Thomas (UK). He was well known for his fair deals and had many returning customers.    Nick helped many players in various ways, including Ian House who he engaged as one of his demonstrators.

At Sand Bay he went that one mile further and arranged a Roland electronic drum kit for Andy Oakley, the popular entertainer, to play in a cabaret session.   It was things like this that made Nick a very special type of person.

We extend our deep sympathy to all his family.

The funeral took place on 5th October and was well attended by many from the organ-keyboard world.   It was an occasion that will be long remembered by all those who attended.
