Alas, it was only on the Google page for one day - it was the Google Doodle, and it was brilliant.

Now gone, it was the latest in the series of artworks has been created to mark what would have been the 78th birthday of the instrument's creator Robert Moog.

A well known keyboard player tells us that he was able to play a tune and use the recorder to build up the sound with a multi tracking session. 

Our verdict:   "Clever stuff by Google and an opportunity for many to know a little about the Moog  synthesizer."
