Keyboard Cavalcade 27th Spring Event

Last event at Pakefield?

The year 1985 saw the start of three new ventures in the keyboard-organ world:

• The first Keyboard Cavalcade Festival at  Caister.
• Byron's first Music for All festival at Sand Bay.
• The formation of Association of Organ Enthusiasts (AOE) at Pontin's Morecambe.

All three events took place five years after the introduction of Britain's first residential electronic organ festival at Pontin's Barton Hall, Torquay (1980).

The 27th year of Keyboard Cavalcade festivals will start at Pontin's Pakefield 23rd - 30th April 2012.   On the site this year will be non-keyboard enthusiasts -unlike previous years when the venue was exclusively for Cavalcadians.

New venue?

It is very likely that this will be the last KC event to held at Pakefield.  Future events may be held at Hemsby on the former Pontin's Seacroft site.  A final decision has yet to be made.   Watch this space for further news.
