27 Years of Music for All Festivals

Byron Jones'  27th Music for All Festival at Sand Bay was a great success - thanks to the players chosen for the event - and, of course, the charm of the Welsh Wizard organ player himself.

The first Music for All Festival was in 1985 when Byron's first guest was Alun Davies who made a name for himself on Hughie Green's Opportunity Knocks in the 1970's.   Byron was previously introduced to organ enthusiasts at the first Pontin's Barton Hall Electronic Organ Festival in Torquay in 1980 when he was Alun's personal accompanist.

It will be in 2015 that Byron will celebrate 30 years of festivals at Sand Bay.  However, if you total all Byrons festivals the number is quite considerable - including the one at Pontin's Weymouth in 1991 when his special guest was Klaus Wunderlich - said to be the most famous electronic organist of all time.
