Dirkjan Ranzijn £1,000 email fraud

An unconfirmed report on Facebook alleges that a lady gave £1,000 of her savings to help who she thought was Dirkjan Ranzijn after receiving the fraud email previously reported.

Dirkjan, who is most distressed about the affair, believes several others have also been conned.  He has written an email to all those he possibly can.   It is reprinted below:-

Hello my friends:

My sincere apologies for all the inconvenience caused lately.

I have been hacked and the person who did this caused a lot of problems. We are on the case with the police and I hope this person will get what he or she deserves.

I'm now back again, changed all my passwords and Googlemail has put some more security on this address,

I do know that there are people who transferred money to the criminal, I can't say how sorry I am ! We will try to do our very best to catch the person responsible.

If in any case you get another e-mail like that, please ask the person some questions I only know the answer of, that will catch him/her out and you then know you are talking to a criminal.

Again, I am so sorry about this, but from now on I'm back on this address,
Have a great day.
Dirk

Readers are advised NOT to respond to any suspect email like the one in question.  The normal procedure for anyone in trouble abroad is to contact the Embassy of the country to which they belong.
