Jean Martyn's fans annoyed?

Press Report likely to upset Jean Martyn's fans

Jean Martyn has many loyal fans who have supported her for years. They love jean and her playing and are likely to be very annoyed with the recent report in the Manchester Evening News following a BGT tour concert.

The report describes Jean as 'a piano -bludgeoning granny' and reports on poor attendances resulting from tickets at £35 a throw.  Comments about the collar and tie dancer Steven Hall (pictured right) resembling Norris Cole of Coronation Street, were followed by saying that Jean Martyn's exuberant enthusiasm, incorrigible campness and out-of-time playing (to a screen?) marks her out as a 21st century, mute Margarita Pracatan.

It seems, to us, that going on a TV show and tour of Britain's Got Talent can be a risky venture when it comes to publicity. The press can certainly be unkind - as we have seen from the above comments.
Incidentally, not so much of 'mute' - it is pretty obvious that the reporter has not heard Jean sing!
