Talent - what is it?

Britain's Got Talent - perhaps it is yet to come?

Having seen the ITV 1 show on 16th April, the first of a new series of 'Britain's Got Talent', we are beginning to wonder about the meaning of the word - at least, what it means to some people!

Perhaps better entertainment is yet to come?    We did see Jean Martyn and her partner Bob Ware seated in the audience so, with the sneak photos below, we know that she will be appearing in a forthcoming show.   The question is how long can we sit through the auditions before we see something of interest to the thousands who read this website?

We feel we must apologise for building up this programme with the thought of seeing something better in the first show.   Perhaps the producers want us to tune in again, having leaked what is yet to come?

Pictured here is Jean Martyn with keyboard festival producer Cled Griffin celebrating Jean's 30th year in show business at last year's Sand Bay Keyboard Cabaret Festival. During this time Jean has proved to us that she has got talent - it now seems that she intends to prove it on nationwide television to all those who don't know her.

Those who have attended Cled's festivals will know a little more about Jean than those who have just seen her at organ societies - they will have seen Jean as a cabaret performer - more than just playing the ivory keys.   This makes us wonder what she will actually be doing on the TV show?  Perhaps we may be in for a surprise!
