ipad Music Demo

 Music Application for iPad

On the weekend that Apple launched their iPad 2, a demonstration was given at the morning forum held during the Torquay Keyboard Komedy weekend - the difference being that it was the iPad 1 that was being looked at.

The iPad was projected onto the special effects big screen for everyone in the audience to see the music applications (apps).  More information about these applications can be obtained from various websites, including:-

The forum was hosted by James Sargeant (right) who told the audience that he also owned an Apple iPad that he found invaluable in his role as a Region Manager for Yamaha.  James took much interest in the music applications which he has not yet added to his own iPad.  The demonstration revealed how it is possible to store many music books in the memory.   A cordless foot-switch showed how pages could be turned over without touching the iPad screen.

Travelling keyboard-organ players could find it useful to store the music of their full concert programme in the memory, which can be programmed to show the tunes in the required playing order.

Although the iPad was an ideal size from a portability point of view, it would be even better if it were the size of an A4 sheet of paper - something that Apple may consider for the future.

Prices and details can be obtained from the Apple-Mac website: www.apple.com/uk/    This website contains an extensive video about the new iPad 2.   Think twice before you watch it, because if you do you are sure to want one.
