Organists and Organists

Who is who - what database?

Say the word 'organist' to the man in the street and he immediately thinks of a church organ.   That is why we (and some others) refer to organists in the theatre world - the world of light entertainment, as organ-keyboard players - or keyboard-organ players.

It is a simple way to classify players who play different types of organs.  If there is a better way to classify the instruments and players then please tell us

To illustrate what we are on about, look at the websites on the four links below and you will see the differences.

Organists On Line
Includes a database of available organists.
Information of players added free of charge.

Organfax.co.uk
Includes a database of available players.
Does not give links to all players own websites

Organists.co.uk
Includes details and profiles of players plus a photo gallery of popular players.
No charge made for adding details of players.

Keyboardplayersuk.tk
Includes a database of available players who have their own websites.
Information and links to players having their own websites added free of charge,

We hope you can now see why we have called this website Keyboardnews.com - we think that it reflects the lighter side of instruments, or configurations, that have two (or more) keyboard manuals and bass pedals.
