A Christmas Tale

What a lovely gesture by an unknown person to financially help the Shirley Organ & Keyboard Society in their hour of need - especially at this time of year.  

It is the true Christmas spirit to think of others in this way.    The person concerned has not done it to put himself/herself on a pedestal - preferring to remain anonymous. 

If more people thought of others, and giving pleasure for no gain, the world would be a happier and more peaceful place.

When you think about it, money in banks and elsewhere is not as safe as once thought - what is more, it appears to be earning less interest.    Besides, you cannot take it with you when you depart from this planet.  So helping others while you are alive is a worthwhile consideration.

Giving gifts at Christmas has a meaning, with the joy of putting a smile on the face of others.  In this case, the gift of financial help has had that effect on many people.

It is a fact that music can make people happy and this will now certainly apply to members of the Shirley Organ & Keyboard Society.

PS   As a follow-up to this, the society has decided to change its name and attract more members - it will now be known as the EDEN PARK MUSIC CLUB.
