KEYBOARD FESTIVAL ENTERTAINERS
Keyboard Music Festivals were introduced to the UK in 1980 at a Pontin's Torquay Holiday centre, starting off as Home Electronic Organ Festivals.
The Festival held at Pontin's Tower Beach Prestatyn in 1981 had over 2,000 keyboard enthusiasts, including their families.
They were such a success that in 1985 three other producers jumped on the band wagon and produced similar events at other venues.
To make the festivals even more entertaining, and to cater for the non-playing members of the family, guest comedians and entertainers were added to the long list of star keyboard players.
This website puts the spotlight on some of these celebrities who deserve recognition for helping to make the Keyboard Festivals such a huge success.
